The International Technical-Didactic Workshop on Dynamic Agroforestry with Cacao, scheduled for March 18-29, 2025 in Alto Beni, Bolivia, is a unique opportunity to learn about organic and dynamic agroforestry systems.
Main objectives
Introduce the principles of dynamic agroforestry and its practical application.
Exchange experiences with local producers and exhibitors.
To discuss scientific research results of the SysCom project on cocoa in agroforestry systems.
Explore participatory and holistic teaching methods for producer families.
Methodology and highlights
Visits to agroforestry plots at different stages.
Design and management of agroforestry systems, including monoculture conversion.
Meetings with local cocoa, coffee and citrus producers.
Visit to the Central de Cooperativas El Ceibo and, optionally, to its chocolate factory.
Practical workshops on pedagogy and design of educational events.
Target audience
Facilitators, technicians and professionals interested in organic production, agroforestry and agroecology in Latin America.

Cost: 2000 USD (includes registration, lodging, internal transportation and meals).
Scholarships: Available on a case-by-case basis, with a minimum non-refundable fee of 200 USD.
