Renke de Vries is Project Coordinator (Europe) at ECOTOP and an experienced agroforestry designer and consultant. He studied International Forest Ecosystem Management at the HNE Eberswalde in Germany and holds additional training in permaculture design and arboriculture.
Renke has spent several years applying and adapting syntropic and dynamic agroforestry principles to European temperate landscapes. Between 2019 and 2023 he led the design, establishment, and management of complex agroforestry systems on degraded sandy soils at Gut & Bösel in Brandenburg, Germany, where he implemented multi-layered plantings combining fruit, nut, timber, and groundcover species.
