The PIAF-El Ceibo Foundation is a Bolivian organization dedicated to advancing sustainable cocoa farming and agroforestry systems. Originally established in the 1980s as COPEAGRO under Central de Cooperativas El Ceibo Ltda., the initiative aimed to provide technical assistance to cocoa producers. In 1993, it expanded its scope to include agroforestry research, evolving into the Program of Agro-Ecological and Forestal Implementations (PIAF).

Through a decentralization process in 2008, PIAF-El Ceibo gained administrative autonomy and has since played a key role in developing sustainable production models in the Alto Beni region. The foundation focuses on knowledge exchange, farmer training, and research, working alongside producers and institutions to enhance environmentally friendly and economically viable cocoa cultivation.

Ecotop collaborates with PIAF-El Ceibo on projects that integrate Dynamic Agroforestry (DAF) into cocoa production. This partnership supports soil regeneration, biodiversity conservation, and climate adaptation, ensuring long-term sustainability for smallholder farmers in Bolivia.
