Dynamic Agroforestry programmes for your sourcing region: designed with your farmers, built in the field by our teams, and run in the long term by the lead farmers and field technicians we form on the ground.
The difference
Most agroforestry programmes are built around targets: trees per hectare, hectares per year. The trees go in, the reports go out, and when the funding ends the intervention ends with it. A few seasons later the plots are overgrown or cleared and the region is back where it started.
We work the other way round. A programme is a process. The system is designed with the farmers who will run it, the first plots are set up together, and from the first season we form the lead farmers and field technicians who will lead the work once we are no longer there. Targets get met along the way. What we are judged on is what is still running ten years later.
The system itself makes that possible. DAF is a farming system, not a planting scheme: short-cycle crops between the young cocoa or coffee, high densities, regular pruning that feeds the soil. Farmers earn from the first year, so the plots get managed, and a managed plot lasts. See the trial data behind DAF →

Wie wir mit Ihnen zusammenarbeiten
We visit the sourcing region and read what is there: soils, existing plots, farmer economics, nurseries, who can lead locally. You get a frank feasibility picture before anyone plants a tree.
System designs per crop and site: species, planting layouts, pruning calendars, the first-year crops that pay for the transition. Costed, with a timeline and a staffing plan.
Our field teams set up the first plots with your farmers: nurseries, planting, the first pruning rounds. Our people are farmers and agronomists themselves, so the work is done in the field, not from a slide deck.
Farmers and technicians learn on the plots they manage. From the first season we form lead farmers and field technicians who run their own teams, so the method spreads through people who live there.
Once the local team runs it, we step back to coaching and quality checks. Every plot sits in the DAF Tracker, so you see survival, growth and adoption as it happens, and the team keeps a record of its own work.

Where to start
Programmes usually begin small and grow with the results. Each stage stands on its own and feeds the next.
For when you have a sourcing region and a question: does DAF work here, at what cost, on what timeline?
You receive
Demonstration plots and a first cohort of farmers and technicians, so the region sees the system working before anyone commits to scale.
You receive
Multi-year implementation across a sourcing region or landscape, with a local structure that keeps working after the contract ends.
You receive
Who we work with
Sourcing programmes in cocoa, coffee, palm and other tropical crops, built into the supplier relationships you already have.
System design, field teams and training for your members, with the technical capacity staying inside the cooperative.
Implementation partner for rural development and restoration programmes, from concept note to final report.
Conversion of estates or degraded land to productive DAF, with your own staff trained to manage it.
