De plus, les arbres d\u2019ombrage pourraient influencer les processus de d\u00e9composition de ces r\u00e9sidus. Les \u00e9tudes portant sur la lib\u00e9ration de nutriments \u00e0 partir des r\u00e9sidus de taille et sur l\u2019effet des arbres d\u2019ombrage sur les processus de d\u00e9composition sont rares. Notre objectif \u00e9tait de d\u00e9terminer comment les syst\u00e8mes de culture (agroforesterie, monocultures) influencent la d\u00e9composition des r\u00e9sidus de taille et de quantifier la lib\u00e9ration de nutriments par ces r\u00e9sidus.<\/p>\n<p>Des sacs \u00e0 liti\u00e8re dot\u00e9s de deux tailles de mailles (0,1 et 2 mm) et contenant des m\u00e9langes de feuilles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9s dans le cadre de cinq syst\u00e8mes de culture (monocultures conventionnelles et biologiques, agroforesterie conventionnelle et biologique, agroforesterie de succession) au cours d\u2019un essai \u00e0 long terme men\u00e9 \u00e0 Alto Beni, en Bolivie. Les teneurs en carbone, phosphore, azote, potassium, cellulose et lignine ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9es dans les feuilles fra\u00eeches et les sacs \u00e0 liti\u00e8re 4, 8 et 12 mois apr\u00e8s leur mise en place.<\/p>\n<p>Les teneurs en azote \u00e9taient plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es dans le syst\u00e8me agroforestier conventionnel que dans les autres syst\u00e8mes, quatre mois apr\u00e8s la mise en place. La teneur en phosphore \u00e9tait plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e dans le syst\u00e8me agroforestier que dans les monocultures huit mois apr\u00e8s la mise en place. Les sacs \u00e0 liti\u00e8re dot\u00e9s d\u2019une maille de 2 mm contenaient moins de carbone et de nutriments quatre mois apr\u00e8s la mise en place que ceux dot\u00e9s d\u2019une maille de 0,1 mm. La lib\u00e9ration de nutriments issus des r\u00e9sidus d\u2019\u00e9lagage a \u00e9t\u00e9 estim\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L'effet des arbres d'ombrage sur les processus de d\u00e9composition s'est limit\u00e9 \u00e0 des variations des teneurs en azote et en phosphore dans les sacs \u00e0 liti\u00e8re. Les sacs \u00e0 liti\u00e8re \u00e0 mailles plus larges ont probablement favoris\u00e9 la colonisation microbienne et le transfert de nutriments par lixiviation. L'apport en nutriments provenant des r\u00e9sidus d'\u00e9lagage pourrait r\u00e9pondre aux besoins en potassium et en azote du cacaoyer, mais il est insuffisant pour le phosphore.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cacao in agroforestry systems can benefit from improved nutrient cycling, since shade trees could transfer nutrients through litterfall and pruning residues.
