La monoculture du cacao entra\u00eene souvent des probl\u00e8mes tels que la d\u00e9gradation des sols, la perte de biodiversit\u00e9 et une vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 accrue aux ravageurs, aux maladies et au changement climatique. En revanche, le DAF imite les for\u00eats naturelles en int\u00e9grant une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de plantes et d'arbres, ce qui am\u00e9liore la fertilit\u00e9 des sols, r\u00e9duit la pression des parasites et des maladies, contr\u00f4le l'\u00e9rosion et diversifie les revenus des agriculteurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La recherche a montr\u00e9 que les syst\u00e8mes DAF ne se contentent pas d'\u00e9galer la productivit\u00e9 des monocultures, mais qu'ils la d\u00e9passent souvent. Dans les essais, les rendements totaux \u00e9taient jusqu'\u00e0 161% plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s dans les syst\u00e8mes DAF, et les rendements de cacao seuls \u00e9taient 12-46% plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s dans l'agroforesterie par rapport aux monocultures. En outre, le cacao cultiv\u00e9 dans les syst\u00e8mes DAF pr\u00e9sentait beaucoup moins de cas de maladies telles que le balai de sorci\u00e8re.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les agriculteurs pratiquant le DAF ont observ\u00e9 moins de probl\u00e8mes de sol et de parasites. Ils ont \u00e9galement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 les r\u00e9coltes suppl\u00e9mentaires et les avantages pour l'environnement.
