Mientras que los monocultivos produjeron 41% m\u00e1s cacao, los sistemas agroforestales generaron ingresos totales significativamente superiores gracias a la venta de subproductos como pl\u00e1tanos y bananas. Y lo que es m\u00e1s importante, el rendimiento de la mano de obra -los ingresos por jornada laboral- fue aproximadamente el doble en los sistemas agroforestales que en los monocultivos. En los sistemas agroforestales, la gesti\u00f3n org\u00e1nica y la convencional obtuvieron resultados similares, lo que convierte a la agroforester\u00eda org\u00e1nica en una opci\u00f3n viable para los peque\u00f1os agricultores que buscan pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles sin sacrificar la rentabilidad. En los monocultivos, la gesti\u00f3n org\u00e1nica dio lugar a rendimientos de cacao 48% inferiores a los convencionales, pero la rentabilidad de la mano de obra fue similar debido a los mayores costes de la agricultura convencional.
