In diesem Jahr wurde ECOTOP nach Singapur eingeladen, um am Farmers Network Exchange and Congress teilzunehmen, bei dem Erkenntnisse aus ECOTOPs 30 Jahre altem Schulungszentrum f\u00fcr dynamische Agroforstwirtschaft und dem langfristigen Vergleich von Anbausystemen (SysCom) in Alto Beni, Bolivien, vorgestellt wurden. Der Farmers Network Exchange war Teil der Internationalen Kakaokonferenz 2024 der Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA), die vom 12. bis 13. September 2024 in Singapur stattfand. Ziel dieses Austauschs war es, Kakaobauern aus verschiedenen Regionen zu einem Workshop im Vorfeld der Konferenz zusammenzubringen, bei dem es um Wissensaustausch und nachhaltige Anbaumethoden ging.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend des Workshops diskutierten die Teilnehmer wichtige Themen wie die Anpassung an den Klimawandel und den Marktzugang. Landwirte aus der ganzen Welt trugen zu dieser Initiative bei und brachten unterschiedliche Perspektiven und Erfahrungen ein. Die Erkenntnisse aus diesen Diskussionen wurden sp\u00e4ter in den Hauptsitzungen der Konferenz ausgetauscht, um den Stimmen der Landwirte im breiteren Branchendialog eine Plattform zu bieten.<\/p>\n

Aus den Gespr\u00e4chen mit den Bauern ging hervor, dass sie unabh\u00e4ngig vom Kontinent mit \u00e4hnlichen Herausforderungen konfrontiert sind, darunter niedrige Kakaoertr\u00e4ge, Sch\u00e4dlings- und Krankheitsbefall bei jungen Kakaob\u00e4umen und eine alternde Landbev\u00f6lkerung. Es wurde deutlich, dass ein Paradigmenwechsel in den Anbausystemen notwendig ist. Die Vergangenheit hat gezeigt, dass ein hoher Einsatz von chemischen D\u00fcngemitteln, Pestiziden und Herbiziden zu kurzfristigen Produktivit\u00e4tssteigerungen f\u00fchren kann. Diese Praktiken f\u00fchren jedoch h\u00e4ufig zu einem erh\u00f6hten Sch\u00e4dlings- und Krankheitsdruck, der die Landwirtschaft schlie\u00dflich wirtschaftlich unrentabel macht. Ein ganzheitlicherer Ansatz ist erforderlich, und eine m\u00f6gliche L\u00f6sung ist die dynamische Agroforstwirtschaft.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
