Agroforstwirtschaft und \u00f6kologischer Landbau sind potenzielle nachhaltige und klimaresistente Alternativen, gehen jedoch im Vergleich zu Monokulturen und konventioneller Landwirtschaft oft mit geringeren Ertr\u00e4gen einher. Trotz ihres Potenzials sind empirische Daten zur langfristigen Produktivit\u00e4t von Kakao, der in komplexen Agroforstsystemen und unter \u00f6kologischer Bewirtschaftung angebaut wird, nach wie vor begrenzt. Der Ausbau dieser Evidenzbasis ist unerl\u00e4sslich, um die Entwicklung landwirtschaftlicher Praktiken und politischer Ma\u00dfnahmen zu unterst\u00fctzen, die die \u00f6kologische Nachhaltigkeit und die Ern\u00e4hrungssicherheit f\u00f6rdern. Um diese L\u00fccke zu schlie\u00dfen, pr\u00e4sentieren wir Daten aus 15 Jahren (2008\u20132022) Daten zur Kakaoproduktion und zu Begleitkulturen aus einem einzigartigen Langzeitversuch vor, in dem f\u00fcnf Kakaoanbausysteme in Bolivien verglichen wurden: biologisch und konventionell bewirtschaftete Monokulturen, vielf\u00e4ltige Agroforstsysteme unter biologischer und konventioneller Bewirtschaftung sowie Sukzessions-Agroforstsysteme ohne externe Inputs. Wir haben seit Beginn des Versuchs Daten zu den Ertr\u00e4gen sowie detaillierte Informationen zum Versuchsdesign und zur agronomischen Bewirtschaftung erhoben. Alle Systeme erzielten in der Reifephase wettbewerbsf\u00e4hige Kakaoertr\u00e4ge. \u00d6kologische und konventionelle Systeme wiesen \u00e4hnliche Kakaoertr\u00e4ge auf, w\u00e4hrend die Agroforstsysteme 56% der Monokulturertr\u00e4ge erreichten. Die Gesamtertr\u00e4ge der Agroforstsysteme lagen bis zu 6,9-mal h\u00f6her als die der Monokulturen. In der sukzessiven Agroforstwirtschaft wurden 22 Kulturen geerntet, wobei Kulturen mit kurzem Lebenszyklus ein Drittel der Gesamtproduktion ausmachten. Diese Studie zeigt, dass Grundnahrungsmittel und Obstb\u00e4ume sowie hochwertige Kulturen (Kaffee, Ingwer, Kurkuma) erfolgreich mit Kakao kombiniert werden k\u00f6nnen und dass Agroforstsysteme im Laufe der Zeit durch Hinzuf\u00fcgen oder Weglassen von Kulturen angepasst werden k\u00f6nnen, um neuen Zielen oder Marktchancen gerecht zu werden. Umfangreiche Forschungsarbeiten haben die positiven Beitr\u00e4ge der Agroforstwirtschaft und des \u00f6kologischen Landbaus zur Erbringung von \u00d6kosystemleistungen hervorgehoben.
