Die Studie ergab, dass konventionelle Monokulturen zwar anf\u00e4nglich die h\u00f6chsten Kakaoertr\u00e4ge erbrachten, Agroforstsysteme jedoch die Gesamtertr\u00e4ge der Monokulturen deutlich \u00fcbertrafen, wenn man alle vermarktbaren Produkte wie Bananen und andere Begleitkulturen ber\u00fccksichtigt. Die \u00f6kologische Bewirtschaftung f\u00fchrte zu niedrigeren Kakaoertr\u00e4gen im Vergleich zu konventionellen Verfahren, insbesondere bei Monokulturen. In Agroforstsystemen war der Ertragsunterschied zwischen \u00f6kologischer und konventioneller Bewirtschaftung jedoch weniger ausgepr\u00e4gt und statistisch nicht signifikant. Die Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass Agroforstsysteme, insbesondere wenn sie \u00f6kologisch bewirtschaftet werden, die lokale Ern\u00e4hrungssicherheit verbessern und diversifizierte Einkommensquellen f\u00fcr Kleinbauern bieten k\u00f6nnen.
