Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Monokulturen zwar die h\u00f6chsten kakaospezifischen Ertr\u00e4ge liefern, Agroforstsysteme jedoch insgesamt deutlich mehr Nahrungsmittel produzieren und eine bessere Ern\u00e4hrungsqualit\u00e4t bieten und mehr Menschen pro Hektar und Arbeitsstunde ern\u00e4hren. Agroforstsysteme ben\u00f6tigen auch weniger nicht erneuerbare Energie und bieten eine bessere Energieeffizienz. F\u00fcr Kleinbauern kann die Integration von Kulturen wie Bananen und Kochbananen mit Kakao das Einkommen diversifizieren, die Nachhaltigkeit verbessern und die Abh\u00e4ngigkeit von externen Betriebsmitteln verringern.
