Im Gegensatz zu traditionellen Annahmen ergab die Studie, dass Agroforstsysteme bei Anwendung guter kultureller Managementpraktiken - wie regelm\u00e4\u00dfiger Beschnitt, h\u00e4ufiges Ernten und sofortiges Entfernen kranker Schoten - keine h\u00f6heren Sch\u00e4dlings- und Krankheitsraten aufweisen als Monokulturen. In Experimenten, die in Bolivien \u00fcber einen Zeitraum von drei Jahren durchgef\u00fchrt wurden, waren in allen Systemen nur 14% der Kakaoschoten von Sch\u00e4dlingen und Krankheiten betroffen, wobei es keine signifikanten Unterschiede zwischen Agroforst- und Monokultursystemen gab. Dar\u00fcber hinaus f\u00fchrte eine Erh\u00f6hung der H\u00e4ufigkeit der Ernte und der Entfernung kranker Schoten von 25 auf 15 Tage zu einer deutlichen Verringerung des Krankheitsbefalls und zu einer Steigerung der Ertr\u00e4ge um bis zu 46% in den Kleinbetrieben. Diese Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass Kakao-Kleinbauern agroforstwirtschaftliche Praktiken anwenden k\u00f6nnen, ohne gr\u00f6\u00dfere Sch\u00e4dlingsprobleme bef\u00fcrchten zu m\u00fcssen, vorausgesetzt, sie halten sich an gute Managementpraktiken.
