Die Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) ist eine weltweit t\u00e4tige Organisation, die sich f\u00fcr die Erhaltung von Wildtieren und nat\u00fcrlichen \u00d6kosystemen einsetzt. Die 1895 gegr\u00fcndete WCS hat ihren Hauptsitz im Bronx Zoo in New York und ist in fast 60 L\u00e4ndern weltweit t\u00e4tig. Seine Aufgabe besteht darin, die biologische Vielfalt des Planeten durch Wissenschaft, Bildung und die Verwaltung von Schutzprogrammen zu sch\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n

WCS hat sich auf den Schutz kritischer Lebensr\u00e4ume, die Bek\u00e4mpfung des illegalen Wildtierhandels und die Bek\u00e4mpfung der Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf \u00d6kosysteme und Arten spezialisiert.
