Eine k\u00fcrzlich erschienene Studie von Orozco-Aguilar et al. hebt den Beitrag des CacaoFIT-Netzwerks - einer Zusammenarbeit von Agronomen, Forschern und Praktikern - zum nachhaltigen Kakaoanbau in Lateinamerika und der Karibik hervor. <\/span><\/p>\n

Anhand von Daten aus 25 Feldversuchen in verschiedenen Agrar\u00f6kosystemen untersucht das Netzwerk verschiedene Kakaoanbaumodelle, die f\u00fcr Kleinbauern geeignet sind. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass gemischte, schattige Agroforstsysteme dominieren, die Vorteile wie eine verbesserte Biodiversit\u00e4t, Bodengesundheit und Widerstandsf\u00e4higkeit gegen Sch\u00e4dlinge und Krankheiten bieten. In den Versuchen wurden \u00fcber 150 Kakao-Genotypen unter verschiedenen Bewirtschaftungsmethoden getestet, darunter auch konventionelle und \u00f6kologische Methoden. <\/span><\/p>\n

Die Forschung unterstreicht die Bedeutung der Auswahl geeigneter Pflanzdichten, schattenspendender \u00dcberdachungen und Bewirtschaftungsmethoden zur Steigerung der Ertr\u00e4ge und der Nachhaltigkeit. F\u00fcr Kleinbauern bieten die Erkenntnisse aus dem CacaoFIT-Netzwerk praktische Leitlinien zur Optimierung der Kakaoproduktion bei gleichzeitiger Wahrung der Umweltvertr\u00e4glichkeit. <\/span><\/p>\n
